Try these Tips to Lose Weight & Keep it Off!

Do you want to loose weight and keep it off? If you could loose 2 lbs a week that would mean a fantastic weight loss of 104 lbs for the year. Wow wouldn’t that be great!

When you look at it that way it makes the 20 – 40 lbs you need to shed seem very achievable.

Remember that if you eat next to nothing your body goes into starvation mode. The metabolism slows down which makes it difficult to shift the pounds.

When you crash diet the first thing you loose is fluid, so loosing 10 lbs or so is easy but you will probably put it back on and more once you resume a correct diet.

The best way of course is to eat correctly and not forgetting exercise. For some people eating several small meals is good as it keeps your metabolism-working helping to continually burn the calories.

It’s a similar thing with exercise if you can do several small bursts of 10 -15 minutes at a time this keeps the metabolism working and is probably more beneficial than one long exercise regime. i.e. A brisk 10 minute walk can get the heart pumping so cardiovascular as well as burning the calories times this by three and it is more, or of equal benefit to a thirty minute workout.

 Hi Sam here, I never believed that a quick 20 minute walk could really shed the lbs. But a few days ago I caught my reflection in a shop window – that was it!

I’ve started walking lunchtimes and 2 things have happened. 1. I feel refreshed after it and 2. I’ve lost a few lbs. So here’s some ideas to get you started.

For most of us we want results and solutions to any problem or issue in our lives easily and most importantly quickly. So when it comes to losing weight particularly as we feel less attractive, tight in our clothes etc we want success so we want fast weight loss, but is it possible and more importantly is it advisable ?Losing weight fast is possible and can be advisable (with certain limitations), can also be considered a great way to jump start a diet that has become stale, it can give you the impetus you need to continue with your weight loss course, and it can give you the reason you need to stay the course. But beware of some of the more extreme diets and plans, that may promise or suggest very rapid weight loss but can often be not the most healthy way to go. Just be realistic.

Consider this as a good rule of thumb that some pregnant women use post-pregnancy – nine months on, nine months off. The idea behind it being that it took nine months to put on the weight, so nine months is a healthy way indeed in which to lose it. plus you need to consider and think logically – for most of us our weight gain has slipped on over a long period of time, many years for many of us – is it realistic to believe what took years to gain can be lost in mere short weeks – no really.!

Hello world!

This is my first WordPress  blog – so all new to me !

As you can see from the title I’m interested in losing weight.

But I want to try and help  women  who juggle work, family, the kids and possibly elderly parents and find the lack of available time in their normal routine, and being able to give comittment to dieting and weight loss plans difficult, some tips to get them on the road!
